Weekend Wrap-Up

Sarnia Sting News Release


Despite being shorthanded with a number of regulars in the IR, the Sting earned 3 of a possible 6 points last weekend. The club is now 5th in the Western conference, sporting a 22-16-3-2 record.

The Sting fell short against the Rangers on Thursday night at the RBC Centre, losing 3-2 in overtime. Zacha potted his 11th of the season with :57 remaining in the 3rd to send the game to OT, before Hora ended it in extra time for the Rangers. Full Game Story

Frank Hora scored the OT winner lifting the Rangers to a 3-2 road win over the Sting.

The Sting were excellent on Friday night against the Whalers, winning 5-2 and outshooting their opponents 46-31. Full Game Story

Stephen Pierog had three assists in the Sting's 5-2 win over the visiting Whalers.

A depleted Sarnia Sting team fell 5-3 to the Knights in London on Saturday to close out the weekend. Full Game Story

The two teams will square off again on Friday night when the Sting travel to the Budweiser Gardens. Puck drop is set for 7:30 PM.
