
Southern Illinois Miners Shut Out Washington

 Marion, IL - The Washington Wild Things were shut out by the Southern Illinois Miners 8-0 at Rent-One-Park Friday night.
Washington bats combined for seven hits, but were unable to drive any runners across the plate.
Chase Cunningham (3-6) was charged with the loss for Washington, allowing five runs in 4 1/3 innings of work. Kolin Stanley and Ashton Perritt pitched in relief.
Washington and Southern Illinois meet for the second game of the three-game set Saturday when first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 EDT. All the action will be broadcast live at www.msasports.net. The Wild Things return to CONSOL Energy Park Tuesday.
