METAIRIE, La. -- The scheduled 7:05 p.m. game on Friday evening between the Nashville Sounds and the New Orleans Zephyrs has been postponed due to rain in the New Orleans area.
The teams will make up the contest as part of a 5:05 p.m. CT doubleheader on Saturday evening at Zephyr Field. It will be Nashville's first twinbill of the 2004 season. The Sounds finished 8-6 in doubleheader play last season.
Left-hander Dave Williams (0-1, 3.64) and right-hander John VanBenschoten (0-3, 9.17) will take the hill for the Sounds on Saturday to face New Orleans right-handers Taylor Buchholz (0-3, 7.32) and Chad Qualls (0-0, 2.78).
