Las Vegas Aviators News Release

LAS VEGAS: The Las Vegas 51s professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, will return to Cashman Field for a brief four-game home stand against the Tucson Sidewinders, Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, on Monday-Thursday, May 3-6. Monday through Wednesday's games will begin at 7:10 p.m. and a special start time of 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.

The 51s, under first-year manager Terry Kennedy, are currently on a brief four-game road swing at Fresno, Calif., which will conclude on Sunday afternoon.

The 51s will present "Cox Communications School Day" for the Thursday morning game. The day will feature a field trip available to 5th grade students in the Clark County School District.

"This will be a fun and educational experience for the students with both the Tobacco Awareness Program and the opportunity to watch the 51s play baseball," 51s President/General Manager Don Logan said.

The Tobacco Awareness Program, through the Clark County School District, is an important event that serves to educate the young students on the dangers of cigarette smoking.

The community partners that made the "School Day" possible are: Cox Communications, Nevada Power, Republic Services and Southwest Gas.

Following the four-game home stand, the 51s will travel to Northern California to face the Sacramento River Cats, Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland A's, in a brief four-game road swing on Friday-Monday, May 7-10.

Tickets for all 51s home games can be purchased at the Cashman Field box office. Tickets can also be purchased through TicketMaster (474-4000, www.ticketmaster.com). TicketMaster outlets are located at Smith's Food & Drug, Tower Records and Nellis Air Force Base.

The individual game tickets for the home season are priced at $7.00 (general admission), $8.00 (reserved), $9.00 (plaza) and $11 (field).
