NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Indianapolis Indians jumped out to an early 3-0 lead but were ultimately defeated by a pair of five-run innings from the Nashville Sounds on Friday night, 13-4.

The Indians (37-37) plated two runs in the fourth and one run in the fifth. With both teams scoreless in the top of the fourth inning, Travis Swaggerty reached first safely on a bunt. Yoshi Tsutsugo followed with his first homer of his MLB rehab assignment, a two-run opposite field shot. Mason Martin led Indianapolis off in the fifth with a single and a passed ball from catcher Mario Feliciano put him on second base. A one-out sac-fly from Taylor Davis sent Martin home for Indianapolis' third run of the contest.

Nashville (45-30) fired back with six hits - four of them being extra-base hits - to take a two-run lead in the bottom of the inning. Pedro Severino connected for a lead-off double and Patrick Dorrian roped a two-out triple to left to plate the Sounds' first run. Two consecutive doubles from Garrett Whitley and Weston Wilson evened the game at three runs apiece. Brice Turang and Abraham Almonte followed with back-to-back RBI singles to end the inning.

The Sounds tacked on five more runs in the seventh and three more runs in the eighth to seal the victory. Indianapolis' fourth and final run came courtesy of an RBI single from Kevin Newman in the top of the ninth.

In his first appearance against Nashville, Mike Burrows (L, 0-1) threw 4.2 innings, allowing five runs on six hits with four punchouts.

Southpaw Ethan Small (W, 5-3) had a quality start for the Sounds, yielding three runs on six hits in 6.0 innings of work.

Indianapolis and Nashville return to First Horizon Park for the fifth game of the series tomorrow at 8:05 PM ET. RHP Miguel Yajure (1-1, 4.26) will take the mound for the Indians and RHP Marcus Walden (0-0, 3.00) will counter for the Sounds.
