Nashville Sounds News Release
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Nashville Sounds return to Greer Stadium this Friday, May 24, for their fourth homestand of the season: an eight-game stretch in which the team welcomes the Albuquerque Isotopes (Los Angeles Dodgers affiliate) for four games spanning May 24-27, and the division-rival Iowa Cubs (Chicago Cubs affiliate) from May 28-31.
Highlighting the homestand's worth of promotions will be three fireworks extravaganzas, two giveaway nights, a special Memorial Day game and the first Sounds CARE Jersey Auction.
Friday, May 24 vs. Albuquerque @ 7:05 p.m. (Gates Open at 6:05 p.m.)
The Sounds start the homestand and head into Memorial Day Weekend with a bang, presenting a postgame Friday Fireworks Spectacular following the opener against the Albuquerque Isotopes. The fireworks show is presented by the upcoming Music City Sports Festival.
Saturday, May 25 vs. Albuquerque @ 6:35 p.m. (Gates Open at 5:35 p.m.)
Saturday marks two firsts for the Sounds this season. For starters, it is the first bobblehead giveaway night of the season, where the first 2,000 fans through the gates will receive a Paintable Ozzie Bobblehead, presented by PPG Porter® Paints.
Secondly, Saturday presents the first Sounds CARE Jersey Auction. For the game, Ozzie and the entire team will be wearing special giraffe-spotted uniforms, presented by Coca-Cola and Kroger, which can be purchased during an in-game silent auction at Greer Stadium. Fans will have the opportunity to bid on the jerseys throughout the game and take home a piece of Sounds memorabilia benefitting the Nashville Zoo.
The night will conclude with a postgame fireworks show, courtesy of Nashville's NEWS 2, making Saturday evening another can't miss night at the ballpark with the Nashville Sounds!
Sunday, May 26 vs. Albuquerque @ 2:05 p.m. (Gates Open at 1:05 p.m.)
Ozzie's Fit and Fun Club members are invited to Greer Stadium for Baseball Bingo with Ozzie, presented by Dick's Sporting Goods. Ozzie's Fit and Fun Club features a special activity every Sunday this season and is $15 to join. Registration forms are available at every Sounds home game or on NashvilleSounds.com/kidsclub.
It's also Autograph Day. The autograph session with members of the Sounds team and coaching staff will take place on field beginning at 1:25 p.m.
In addition, the game will be a Piedmont Natural Gas Military Sunday presented by Tennessee 811.
