Sounders FC Opens The Ninety for Fans to Enjoy 2018 FIFA World Cup Matches

SEATTLE, WASH. - Sounders FC today announced that the club's event space, The Ninety - located at 406 Occidental Avenue in Pioneer Square - is set to open to the public for all 2018 FIFA World Cup matches scheduled at 11:00 a.m. PT throughout the tournament, beginning with tomorrow's June 15 matchup between Portugal and Spain.

Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed, so soccer fans of all stripes may bring their lunches and get their World Cup fix while on lunch break, surrounded by Sounders history and all the Rave Green's trophies.

In addition, ahead of Sounders FC hosting the Portland Timbers on Saturday, June 30 in the first official Cascadia Cup match of the season (1:30 p.m. PT / FOX, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM), the team is hosting an official 2018 FIFA World Cup watch party in the North Plaza of CenturyLink Field.

Doors to the North Plaza are opening early at 10:30 a.m. PT and a large video screen is set to play the World Cup Round of 16 match - with the opponents yet to be determined. Fans can enjoy $5 beers, food, entertainment and prize giveaways prior to cheering Seattle on against archrival Portland. Please note that other stadium entrances are opening according to regular schedule and only the North Plaza entrance and watch party area is open to fans early.

As previously announced, Sounders FC is also hosting Soccer Sunday on July 15, a special watch party doubleheader at Seattle Center that features the 2018 FIFA World Cup Final at 8:00 a.m. PT followed by the team's road match at Atlanta United at 11:00 a.m. PT, both played on a giant screen.
