Sound Tigers Sign Maclellan to PTO

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today that forward Jack MacLellan has been signed to a Professional Try Out.

MacLellan, 26, has appeared in 36 games this season for the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL. He currently leads the Thunder with 35 points in 36 games, recording 10 goals and a team-high 25 assists.

The Calgary, Alta., native has appeared in 35 American Hockey League games in his career, all with the Milwaukee Admirals in the 2012-13 season. He had one goal and one assist in the 35 games.

The 5-foot-11 MacLellan attended Brown University for four years from 2008-2012, playing alongside current Sound Tigers forward Harry Zolnierczyk for three seasons. He has also played for the Cincinnati Cyclones and the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL and the Dundee Stars of the Elite Ice Hockey League in the United Kingdom.
