Marlies Lose to Grand Rapids 3-1

The Toronto Marlies were at home Wednesday for an 11 a.m. matchup with the Grand Rapids Griffins. This marked the first of three school day games the Marlies host, in partnership with the TDSB. In front of a sold out Ricoh Coliseum, filled with enthusiastic school children, the Marlies would fall 3-1. The Marlies would open the scoring on a Matt Frattin wrist shot early in the first period but Grand Rapids responded with three goals and a solid performance from Jonas Gustavsson, who earned the game's first star.
The next Marlies home game is this Saturday at 3pm when they welcome the Iowa Wild for the first time this season. Tickets can be purchased at marlies.ca/tickets or by calling 416-597-PUCK (7825).
