Sound Tigers Release Langkow from PTO

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (February 16, 2012) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today they have released forward Chris Langkow from his professional tryout contract (PTO).

Langkow, 22, recorded one goal and four assists in seven games with the Sound Tigers in October before being sidelined due to injury. The Vegreville, AB native returns to the Alaska Aces of the ECHL where he posted 15 goals and 21 assists in 56 contests last season, including eight goals and three assists in 13 games en route to Alaska's Kelly Cup championship.

The Sound Tigers conclude their six-game homestand this weekend with three straight home games beginning on Saturday, Feb. 18 vs. Adirondack, followed by afternoon contests on Sunday vs. Hershey at 3:00 p.m. and Monday, Feb. 20 vs. Albany at 1:00 p.m. For information on group outings or full and partial season ticket plans, call the Sound Tigers at (203) 345-2300 or e-mail info@soundtigers.com.
