
B-Sens Events in Labatt Blue AHL Bubble Hockey Tourney Kick off Tonight

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The American Hockey League and Labatt Blue have announced that the 2012 Labatt Blue Bubble Hockey Tournament of Champions presented by the AHL is now under way. The Binghamton Senators are one of 11 teams participating.
Entry is free, and no purchase is necessary. Players must be 21 years of age or older to participate.
The tournament is taking place in three stages. During the months of February and March, each participating team is hosting a series of qualifying nights in local sports bars, restaurants and taverns. A total of eight players from each city's local qualifiers will advance to the team finals, which will be held in that city's AHL arena to determine each team champion. Finally, the 11 individual team winners will advance and earn a trip to the ultimate Tournament of Champions, scheduled at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, on March 31, 2012.
The winner of the 2012 Labatt Blue Tournament of Champions presented by the AHL will receive an Official Labatt Blue AHL Super Chexx Bubble Hockey game and a mini replica Calder Cup trophy from the AHL.
The Binghamton Senators' local qualifying rounds will take place February 16 - March 8 throughout Greater Binghamton. There players will compete to win great prizes from Labatt and the B-Sens and the chance to play in the team final. Qualifying round winners will receive two tickets to the Friday, March 16th B-Sens home game and will face-off pregame and during the 1st intermission in the B-Sens Bubble Hockey Team Finals. The winner will represent the Binghamton Senators at the Tournament Finals in Hershey on March 31.

Saturday, Feb. 25, 8 p.m., Dillinger's, Binghamton
Thursday, March 1, 8 p.m., Burger Mondays, Binghamton
Wednesday, March 7, 8 p.m., Bobby's Place, Endicott
Thursday, March 8, 8 p.m., Downtown Quarterback, Endicott
Friday, March 16, 7 p.m., Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena - TEAM FINALS
Other teams participating in this inaugural event with the Binghamton Senators include the Adirondack Phantoms, Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Connecticut Whale, Hershey Bears, Manchester Monarchs, Portland Pirates, Providence Bruins, Rochester Americans, Springfield Falcons and Worcester Sharks.

The B-Sens will see action again this Friday as they host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 7:05 p.m. Tickets are $18.50 for side seating, $17.50 for end seating.
