Bulldogs Sign Eric Lampe to Professional Try-Out

HAMILTON, ON - Hamilton Bulldogs and Montreal Canadiens general manager Pierre Gauthier announced today the signing of Eric Lampe to a Professional Try-Out contract.

Lampe, 25, has played in 46 games for the Las Vegas Wranglers this season and leads the ECHL with 60 points (34 goals, 26 assists) on 177 shots on goal. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound centreman has scored five shorthanded goals and leads the Wranglers with a +17 plus/minus rating. The Madison, Wisconsin native has also suited up for three games with the AHL's Lake Erie Monsters in 2011-2012, registering one assist and one shot on goal. In 2010-2011, Lampe played 24 games with the Syracuse Crunch, recording four points (2 goals, 2 assists) on 42 shots on goal and 16 penalty minutes. He also suited up for 34 games with the Elmira Jackals in the ECHL, notching 34 points (17 goals, 17 assists) on 117 shots on goal and 12 penalty minutes.

The Bulldogs' next game will take place on Friday, February 17th, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. when they host the St. John's IceCaps on Home Depot Night. The 'Dogs continue their 3-in-3 weekend on Saturday, February 18th, 2012 when they take on the Rockford IceHogs at 7 p.m. at Copps Coliseum before travelling to Rochester on Sunday, February 19th, 2012 to face the Americans at 5:05 p.m. at Blue Cross Arena.
