Sound Tigers Release Jason Pitton from PTO

The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today that forward Jason Pitton has been released from his professional tryout contract (PTO).

Pitton, 24, signed a PTO with the Sound Tigers on Jan. 13. The Brampton, Ont. native recorded one goal and four assists in 16 games with the Sound Tigers, marking his third stint in the AHL this season. Prior to signing a PTO with the Sound Tigers, Pitton also spent time with Manitoba and Worcester, totaling two goals and one assist in 10 games combined with those two teams. Pitton now returns to the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL where he shows seven goals and 12 assists in 26 games.
