Sound Tigers Announce Partial Packages & Flex Pack

BRIDGEPORT, CT â The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced five partial-season-ticket packages and a flex plan, all of which offer discounts off box-office prices, for the 2003-04 season. The team is offering a pair of 20-game plans and three ten-game plans.

The ten-game packages are the Saturday Plan, the Sunday Plan and the Weekday Plan. The Weekday Plan offers fans the opportunity to choose from 17 possible games. All ten-game packages offer discounted prices, no box office lines, guaranteed seat location, special "Meet The Players" events, discounts on team apparel and souvenirs, season ticket holder newsletter and unused ticket exchange.

The 20-game packages are the Championship Plan and the MVP Plan. The Championship Plan features mostly weekend games while the MVP Plan offers mostly weekday games. Both 20-game packages also offer the all of the same benefits as the ten-game plans, as well as discounts on suite rentals and exclusive events like a team golf outing, "Skate With The Players" and a cruise on the Port Jefferson Ferry.

For the price of 24 tickets, the flex pack offers a booklet of 25 vouchers, which can be redeemed at the box office for any regular-season game in any increment.

The Sound Tigers will begin their third season of play this fall under the guidance of new Head Coach Greg Cronin. They will play a four-game preseason schedule including home games on Friday, September 26th at 7:35 p.m. versus the Worcester IceCats at Bridgeport's Wonderland of Ice and on Saturday, October 4th at 4:05 p.m. versus the Manchester Monarchs at the Winter Garden Arena in Ridgefield. The Sound Tigers will open the regular season on the road versus Hartford Friday, October 10th and will host the Philadelphia Phantoms in their home opener Saturday, October 11th at 7:05 p.m. at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard.

The Islanders will host the Boston Bruins in an NHL preseason game at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard on Sunday, September 21st at 4:05 p.m. Ticket prices for the game begin at $25 with information available by calling the arena at 203-345-2400 or the Sound Tigers at 203-334-GOAL.
