Sound Tigers Announce 2008-09 Roster

Bridgeport, Conn. - The roster for the start of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers' upcoming season has been finalized. The team will kick off their season with a roster consisting of 24 players, including goalies.

Sound Tigers' head coach, Jack Capuano has pieced together a lineup that consists of 16 forwards, six defensemen and two goaltenders. Included in those numbers are offseason acquisitions Joe Callahan, Mike Iggulden and Kurtis McLean.

The Sound Tigers will begin their eighth season in the American Hockey League this Friday night on the road against the Philadelphia Phantoms. On Saturday, Oct. 18, the Sound Tigers' will play their home opener against the Albany River Rats at 7 p.m. The home-opener festivities will involve the introductions of the team, an updated version of the opening videos and fans in attendance will take home a magnet calendar.
