Marlies Announce 2008-09 Opening Day Roster

A proud member of the American Hockey League, the Toronto Marlies released their 2008-09 opening day roster. The defending North Division champions will open the season with 24 skaters and three goaltenders.
The Marlies 2008-09 roster consists of goaltenders Justin Pogge, James Reimer and Adam Munro; defenceman Richard Petiot, Scott Langdon, Phil Oreskovic, Andy Schneider, Todd Perry, Juha Uotila, Jaime Sifers, Staffan Kronwall and Josef Boumedienne; and forwards Robbie Earl, Kris Newbury, Andre Deveaux, Stefano Giliati, Tim Stapleton, Brent Aubin, Jeremy Williams, Boyd Devereaux, Alex Foster, Max Taylor, Ben Ondrus, Mark Bell, Kyle Rogers, Bates Battaglia and Darryl Boyce.
The Marlies begin their fourth season in Toronto when they host the Binghamton Senators - AHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators - on Friday, October 10 at Ricoh Coliseum at 7:00 p.m. The Leafs Nation Mobile Fan Zone will be onsite and fully stocked with free blue and white giveaways for fans attending the home opener.
