Sound Tigers Acquire Stevenson from Pirates

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today that the team has acquired forward Dyson Stevenson from the Portland Pirates in exchange for defenseman Matt Lashoff.

Stevenson, 21, has appeared in two games for the Pirates in his first full professional season. He has spent most of the year with the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL, recording 16 points (eight goals, eight assists) in 46 games.

Prior to his professional career, the Shaunavon, Sask., native played four years for the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League. The 6'2, 185 pound forward served as an assistant captain of Regina during the 2012-13 season.

Lashoff, 28, played 11 games with the Sound Tigers after signing an AHL contract back on January 12. He recorded four points (one goal, three assists) with Bridgeport this year.
