Admirals Trade Bell to Chicago for Future Considerations

NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals announced today that defenseman Brendan Bell has been traded to the American Hockey League's (AHL) Chicago Wolves for future considerations.

Bell, 31, heads to Chicago with a goal and an Admirals team-leading 22 assists in 47 games this season. A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Bell appeared in 102 NHL games with Toronto, Phoenix, Ottawa and the New York Rangers, and scored seven goals and 21 assists with 51 penalty minutes. The veteran of 12 seasons and five different leagues compiled 486 regular-season games in the AHL that includes 54 goals and 199 assists with St. John's, Toronto, San Antonio, Binghamton, Peoria, Syracuse, Connecticut, and finally Norfolk.

The Admirals host another two-game set beginning Wednesday night at 7:15 p.m. at Scope versus the Binghamton Senators. The brief series concludes Friday at 7:30 p.m.
