
Sonny Gray Scheduled to Make Start with Stockton

STOCKTON, Calif.- The Stockton Ports and Oakland Athletics have confirmed that pitcher Sonny Gray will make a Major League Baseball rehabilitation appearance in Stockton on Sunday, June 5th for the 2:09pm start.
Gray is expected to be the starting pitcher on Sunday after being placed on the 15-day Disabled List for a strained right trapezius. The start in Stockton will be the next step in Gray's rehab after first throwing off a mound during a simulated game on May 31st.
In his first nine starts of the 2016 season with Oakland, Gray posted a 6.19 ERA with a 3-5 record. Gray has spent all four of his Major League seasons with the A's and holds a 3.17 career ERA, as the 26-year old has become one of the leading starters for Oakland. Additionally, Gray placed third in American League Cy Young voting and represented the A's at the All-Star Game in 2015, ending the season with a 14-7 record and 2.73 ERA.
