Solar Bears Get Two Back from Aeros

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that F Ryan Ginand and LW Nick Petersen have been returned from their American Hockey League [image: Ryan Ginand]Affiliate, the Houston Aeros. The Solar Bears have released RW Derrick Burnett, D Edward Levens, and D Jarrett Rush.

Ginand comes back to the Solar Bears after appearing in one game with Houston. With Orlando, he is currently fourth in points (14) and his 11 assists ties him for the team lead in that category, and he leads the ECHL with 76 shots. The Milford, MA, native was originally recalled by the Aeros on Wednesday.

Petersen was named the ECHL Player of the Month for October after collecting 14 points on six goals and eight assists in seven games. Since being recalled to Houston on November 12, he has played in two games with the Aeros. The Wakefield, Quebec, native has registered at least one point in 10 of the 14 games he has played for Orlando, and is currently shares the the Solar Bears lead in goals (8) with F Olivier Fortier and leads the team in [image: Nick Petersen] points (19). Petersen is also tied for the team lead in assists (11) with C Mathew Sisca and Ginand.

To make room for the additions, Burnett, Levens, and Rush have been released from the roster. Burnett has played in four games with the Solar Bears, Levens has played in six games, while Rush was added prior to Sunday's game against Kalamazoo.

The Solar Bears, winners of their last two games, wrap up their seven-game home stand tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. at the Amway Center against the Kalamazoo Wings. Good seats are still available, for more information visit OrlandoSolarBearsHockey.com .
