
Solar Bears Add Imbeault, Watters, Wilson

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that they have agreed to terms with forwards Alexandre Imbeault and Ian Watters, and defenseman Michael Wilson.
Imbeault (6', 180 lbs.) is entering his sixth professional season, four of which have included stops in the ECHL. He has played in 221 ECHL games for Florida, [image: Alexandre Imbeault]Alaska, and Johnstown, racking up 220 points. Last season, he won the Norwegian Championship with the Stavanger Oilers, posting 12 points (eight goals, four assists) in eight games. In 2010-11 as a member of the Florida Everblades, Imbeault registered 63 points on 36 goals and 27 assists in 57 games. He has appeared in 22 games in the AHL (American Hockey League) with Connecticut, Peoria, and Providence, recording five goals and three assists. During his rookie season with the Johnstown Chiefs, Imbeault notched 26 goals and 36 assists for 62 points in 59 games.
The Montreal, Quebec, native played four seasons in the QMJHL (Quebec Major Junior Hockey League) from 2003-07, playing in 245 games and totaling 208 points (90 goals, 118 assists). In 2005-06, Imbeault led his team in points (80) and assists (51), and finished second in goals (29).
"Alex is a very dynamic player who is able to put up great offensive numbers while being very responsible in his own end," said Head Coach Drake Berehowsky.
Watters (5'11", 185 lbs.) enters his first professional season after a four-year OHL career. Hailing from Pickering, Ontario, Watters played in 161 games for the Brampton Battalion from 2008-2012, notching 45 goals and 52 assists for 97 points while collecting 130 PIM.
Wilson (6'1", 195 lbs.) split last season between the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the CHL (Central Hockey League) and Starbulls Rosenheim in the German Second Division. In 54 games, he scored two goals and had 29 assists for 31 points. The 25 year-old defenseman spent the 2010-11 season with the Victoria Salmon Kings, recording 20 points (one goal, 19 assists) in 62 games. His ECHL experience also includes 27 games with the Phoenix Roadrunners, where he had four goals and 10 assists while playing 27 games in 2008-09. Wilson has played 85 games in the AHL (American Hockey League) with the Worcester Sharks, scoring six goals and adding 14 assists for 20 points.
The North Vancouver, British Columbia, native played three seasons in the WHL (Western Hockey League) from 2005-08, registering 97 points (19 goals, 78 assists) in 169 games, all with the Swift Current Broncos. His 47 points in the 2007-08 season was ninth among all WHL defensemen.
"Mike is very good offensive defenseman who should fit in nicely on our power play," said Head Coach Drake Berehowsky. "Ian is a big-bodied forward who put up good numbers in juniors. We expect him to contribute offensively this season."
