The Gwinnett Gladiators open with 21 players on the team's training camp roster in preparation for the 2012-13 season. The roster is comprised of six defensemen, 13 forwards and two goaltenders.

Ryan Donald is not included on the Gladiators training camp roser. He agreed to terms with Gwinnett on September 15th and is currently in training camp in the American Hockey League with St. Johns.

Others players in camp with Gwinnett include Casey Pierro-Zabotel, Tyler Murovich, Kale Kerbashian, Curtis Megginson, Dallas Jackson, Samuel Normandeau and goaltenders Greg Ozubko and Dan McWhinney.

Pierro-Zabotel earned 35 points (eight goals, 27 assists) in 71 games last season with Bakersfield. In three ECHL seasons with Wheeling, Cincinnati and Bakersfield, the Ashcroft, British Columbia native has tallied 130 points (38 goals, 92 assists) in 187 career ECHL games from 2009-12. He also had on assist in nine AHL games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in 2009-10.

Murovich returns to Gwinnett after he notched 47 points (16 goals, 31 assists) in 71 games with the Gladiators last year. He split time with Reading, Wheeling and AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in the 2010-11 season. He finished with 20 points (nine goals, 11 assists) in 34 ECHL games.

Kerbashian recorded 15 points (eight goals, seven assists) in 32 games as a rookie in the ECHL last season with Greenville. He played four professional games in both the 2009-10 season with Wheeling and with The Connecticut Whale in 2010-11.

Dallas Jackson posted 29 points (seven goals, 22 assists) in 62 games with Gwinnett last season. He also notched four points (one goals, three assists) in three Kelly Cup Playoff games with Gwinnett.

Megginson had nine points (one goal, eight assists) in 44 games last year with the Augusta Riverhawks of the Southern Professional Hockey League.

Normandeau played three seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League from 2008-2011. He did not register a point in 14 career junior games.

McWhinney notched a .921 save percentage while he earned a 2.60 goals against average and a 24-4-0 record with the New Jersey Outlaws last year in the Federal Hockey League.

Ozubku served as a regular emergency backup for Gwinnett last season.

Training camp runs through October 12th in preparation for the Gladiators 10th Anniversary season in the ECHL that begins on the road in South Carolina on Saturday, October 13th.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
