"Smoke the Chops" Fan Tailgate Party Tonight

Peoria, Ill. (October 11, 2008) - The Peoria Rivermen will play their first home game of the season tonight and all fans are invited to join in on the food and fun as part of the "Smoke the Chops" Fan Tailgate Party.

The Rivermen will take on the Iowa Chops at 7pm but the party begins at 5:30pm just outside the Jefferson Street entrance to Carver Arena. The "Smoke the Chops" event includes special pork chops from Alwan & Sons Meat Company, and beverages from Anheuser-Busch and Coca-Cola. It is also presented by Centerplate.

It is Heritage Bank Magnet Schedule Night for the first 5,000 fans, and one lucky fan will win a Frigidaire Refrigerator, courtesy of the UFS Downtown Outlet Center, on which to put their magnet.
