Schremp And Roy Assigned To Falcons

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that left wing Rob Schremp and defenseman Mathieu Roy have been assigned to the Falcons by their National Hockey League affiliate, the Edmonton Oilers.

Schremp led the Falcons in scoring last season with 23 goals and 53 assists for 76 points in 78 games while also representing Springfield at the 2008 AHL All-Star Game in Binghamton, NY.

Roy also saw time with both Springfield and Edmonton last year. In 20 games with the Falcons during the 2007-08 campaign, he recorded two goals and eight assists for 10 points and 34 penalty minutes.

The Springfield Falcons open their regular season schedule on Saturday, October 11 at Hartford as they battle the Wolf Pack. The Falcons play a pair of road games at Providence on Sunday, October 12 and Friday, October 17 before playing their home opener on Saturday, October 18 when they host the Portland Pirates.
