The Edmonton Road Runners have announced defenceman Kenny Smith has been recalled from the Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL.
In 57 games with the Grrowl this season, the 6'2", 210-pound native of Stoneham, Massachusetts has recorded nine points (3-6-9) and 64 penalty minutes.
Smith will be arriving in Syracuse, New York later today to join the Road Runners on their current 12-game road trip, which continues tomorrow night against the Crunch.
