
Slow Start Dooms Energy in Reno

Reno, NV March 12, 2014 - The Iowa Energy fell to the Bighorns 120-110 on Wednesday night in Reno.
The Bighorns jumped out to the early lead behind solid defense, holding the Energy to just 19 points in the first quarter. Reno led 39-19 after one.
The Energy outscored the Bighorns 28-25 in the second quarter but Reno held the 64-47 heading into the half.
Reno dominated the third quarter, and the game, on the glass. Three Bighorn players finished with double digit rebounds, including Mo Charlo's game high 15 boards. They led the Energy 92-72 heading into the final quarter.
The Energy made a run to start the fourth quarter, cutting the lead to just 9 early on in the quarter. Every time the Energy cut the margin to single digits, the Bighorns would rally and go on a run of their own. They held on to defeat the Energy 120-110 to improve to 24-15 on the season. Iowa falls to 22-16.
The Bighorns were led by K.C Rivers, who had a game high 22 points. Trent Lockett finished the night with 21 points and 10 boards. Charlo added 20 points to his 15 rebounds. Bryan Davis added 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Moses Ehambe's 21 points led Iowa. Augustus Gilchrist and Jackie Carmichael each added 16 points. Washington Wizards assignee Glen Rice, Jr. finished the night with 15 points.
The Energy will play two more West coast games prior to returning to Wells Fargo Arena on Monday, March 17th at 7 PM to take on the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
