Last time out...

Jerod Yakubik smacked a walk-off single as the Slammers scored three times in the bottom of the ninth inning to stun the River City Rascals by a score of 5-4 Tuesday night. The Rascals grabbed the 1-0 lead in the third on a Curran Redal RBI single. Javan Williams smacked a home run in the fifth to tie the game. But in the sixth the Rascals tallied two runs to grab a 3-1 lead. They extended their lead to 4-1 in the top of the seventh before Michael Wing delivered a RBI single in the bottom half of the frame to cut the River City lead to 4-2. Then the Slammers made their dramatic rally in the ninth. Williams and Riley started the inning with back-to-back singles. After a fielder's choice put runners at the corners, pinch hitter Nate Wilder struck out. But Wing delivered again, crushing a two-RBI double to tie the game. That's when Yakubik stepped to the plate and won the game with his single to center.
