New York City FC News Release
New York, N.Y. - New York City Football Club (NYCFC) and SKYY® Vodka announced today a new partnership, making the brand the Official Vodka Partner of the Club. This agreement with NYCFC marks SKYY Vodka's latest in Major League Soccer and the first of several exciting brand announcements for SKYY Vodka this year.
Inspired by the progressive spirit and innovative history of San Francisco, SKYY Vodka will be immersing itself with a new wave of vodka drinkers, bringing its newly reformulated liquid to NYCFC fans as they cheer on their team. SKYY Vodka products will be integrated and available for fans to enjoy at marquee Club events and traditions throughout the season, enhancing the fan experience for NYCFC supporters. The brand will also participate in official NYCFC watch parties, run consumer sweepstakes at retail locations and will roll out a series of social content.
As part of the partnership, SKYY Vodka will also join forces with NYCFC and City in the Community (CITC) - the nonprofit foundation proudly supported by NYCFC - as a Supporting Partner for the Club's annual For The City Golf Cup to raise funds for free soccer programming throughout the five boroughs.
"With Major League Soccer continuing to gain momentum in the U.S., we're excited to partner with NYCFC," said Sean Yelle, Campari Sr. Category Marketing Director. "Like NYCFC, SKYY Vodka is also committed to bringing quality experiences and disrupting the category, taking bold swings. We're looking forward to helping fans raise a cocktail to their favorite team this season and reach vodka drinkers in new ways."
"SKYY Vodka will be an important partner for our fans as they cheer on the Boys in Blue," said Andres Gonzalez, NYCFC Vice President of Partnerships. "We're excited to work with a like-minded brand - that is born from the blue - and is similarly committed to innovation and making creative strides to enhance the fan experience and reach more people than ever before."
