Beloit Sky Carp News Release

BELOIT - The Cardiac Carp couldn't quite dig out of a hole they dug for themselves Saturday night.

On a beautiful evening in Beloit, Sky Carp fans enjoyed their colorful baseball hats on Pride Night.

They watched the Timber Rattlers score three runs in the first inning and follow that up by scoring single tallies in each of the next four frames to take a 7-0 lead on the way to a 12-4 victory.

The Sky Carp tried to get back into the game with a run in the fifth on a solo home run by Marcus Chiu, while the sixth inning yielded two more runs on RBI's by Ynmanol Marinez and Davis Bradshaw.

Marinez collected his fourth hit of the day, knocking in Dalvy Rosario in the eighth with a single, and the Carp eventually put the tying run at the plate before being retired. Wisconisn then scored five runs in the ninth to put the game away.

The Sky Carp and Timber Rattlers will play the finale of the six-game series Sunday afternoon at 1:05 p.m. It's Princess Day at the ballpark, with four princesses coming to the ballpark to mingle with fans. Kids can run the bases following the game, and families can play catch in the outfield after the base run is completed.
