
Skeeters Shut Out by Patriots 6-0

On Friday in game two of a four-game series with the Somerset Patriots the Skeeters lost 6-0. This one was a pitchers duel between the Skeeters Cesar Carillo and the Patriots Josh Lowey, who battled in a scoreless tie through four. After Somerset broke the tie by scoring on a wild pitch in the fifth, they receive two more in the bottom of the seventh on a two-run homerun by James Skelton and added three more in the eighth, as the Patriots shutout the Skeeters.
Skeeters starter Cesar Carillo went six strong innings, allowing just one run on four hits taking the loss, but was bested by Somerset starter Josh Lowey who threw seven shutout inning of three hit baseball.
Up Next: On Saturday in game three of this four-game series, Sugar Land marks the return of RHP Michael Nix (5-1, 1.81) vs. RHP Brad Thompson (6-6, 4.97) for Somerset.
