Six Warriors Headed to NHL Development Camps

Six members of last season's Moose Jaw Warriors will be hitting the ice this week at development camps with NHL teams.

Fresh off being drafted with the 12th overall selection in last week's 2022 NHL Draft, Denton Mateychuk is suiting up at Blue Jackets Development Camp in Columbus.

Jagger Firkus is also attending his first NHL camp with the Seattle Kraken after being taken 35th overall on Friday.

Max Wanner is hitting the ice in Edmonton for Oilers Development Camp this week. Wanner was taken by the Oilers in the seventh round of the 2021 NHL Draft.

Cole Jordan is in Calgary for development camp with the Calgary Flames over the next few days. Jordan was a fifth round pick, 141st overall, in last year's draft.

Daemon Hunt will be looking to make a good impression at the Minnesota Wild's development camp this week. Hunt was a third round pick, 65th overall, by the Wild in 2020. He signed with Minnesota last year.

Ryder Korczak is heading to the Big Apple to take part in the New York Rangers' development camp. Korczak was selected in the third round, 75th overall, by the Rangers in 2021, he signed a three-year entry level contract with New York earlier this year.

The Warriors will return to the ice in Moose Jaw in late August for training camp.

Season tickets are on sale now at the Warriors' office, Mosaic Place Box Office and mjwarriors.ca. The early bird deadline is July 14.
