
Six-Run Second Sends Isotopes to 10-1 Victory

Oklahoma City, OK - For the second-straight night, the Isotopes jumped out to an early commanding lead, plating eight runs over the first two frames, including six tallies in the second, to claim a 10-1 triumph and the clubs third-straight road victory Friday night at Chickasaw Brick Ballpark.
Topes Scope: - Albuquerque has won eight of its last nine contests for the first time since the club won nine of 10 from July 4, 2021 - July 15, 2021, and lead the second-half Pacific Coast League standings (8-2). Additionally, the club has the best second-half record in all of Triple-A.
-The Isotopes have also won three-straight on the road for the second time this year (also: April 2-12). The club hasn't won more than three-straight on the road since taking five in-a-row July 9-13, 2021, at Round Rock.
-The Isotopes swiped one bag on the night to extend their stolen base streak to eight games. During the eight-game stretch Albuquerque has stolen 21 bags and has only been caught once. The last time the club had a stolen base streak of eight was June 11, 2013 - June 18, 2013. Since 2005 (MLB database), the Isotopes' record is nine-straight games set three times (July 19, 2013 - July 27, 2013; April 16, 2008 - April 25, 2008; and May 1, 2007 - May 9, 2007).
-Albuquerque pitching held the Dodgers to just one run, the fourth time this year the staff has surrendered just one tally and first since June 4 at Salt Lake. Additionally, they limited Oklahoma City to five hits, tied for the third-fewest knocks allowed in a nine-inning game this season.
-The Isotopes plated six runs in the second inning on six hits, three doubles and a walk. It's the seventh time this year the club has recorded six tallies in a frame and the second-straight contest.
-All six of the runs scored by the Isotopes in the second frame came with two outs. The club went 5-for-6 with two outs in the frame.
-Albuquerque scored double-digits runs for the 19th time this season and third time against the Dodgers (also: April 18, 13; April 19, 13).
-Michael Toglia extending his on-base streak to 23 games and hit streak to 14 with a single and walk. During his hit streak, he is slashing .315/.418/.630 with two doubles, five homers and 20 RBI. His hit streak is the longest in Triple-A and is tied for the longest in all of MiLB (also: Sal Stewart, Single-A Daytona; Gabe Moncada, Single-A Modesto).
-Jimmy Herron collected three hits, two doubles and an RBI for his 19th multi-hit effort and fifth three-hit game of the year and second in his last five contests. He has a modest five-game hit streak in July (10x20).
-Cole Tucker extended his hitting streak to seven with two hits, including a double, and an RBI. During his hit streak he is slashing .483/.571.759 with three doubles, one triple, one homer and four RBI. It was his 16th multi-hit effort of the year.
-Daniel Montaño recorded two RBI to give him five in his last two games. It's the first time he's driven in multiple RBI in two-straight since Sept. 17-18, 2022, with Double-A Hartford.
-In his first game since June 30, Brian Serven smashed a two-run double in the six-run second and also scored two runs and drew a walk. It's his fourth multi-RBI contest and first since June 16 at Tacoma (two RBI).
-Coco Montes drew two walks tonight and has seven in his last three games. He has drawn a walk in three-straight games for the fourth time this season (last: May 30 - June 1). He also recorded a hit and RBI.
-Hunter Stovall tallied three hits, including a double, for his 19th multi-hit effort, fourth three-hit game of the year and second in his last four games.
-Oklahoma City Dodgers starter Matt Andriese allowed eight runs on 10 hits over 4.0 innings. The eight runs are tied for the third-most surrendered by an opposing starter while the 10 hits are the third-most allowed. Andriese's has relented 19 runs and 21 hits over two starts and 7.2 frames against the Isotopes.
-Peter Lambert completed 4.0 innings and allowed just one run on four hits and walk with three punchouts. It was his first start with the Isotopes since April 26 at Round Rock.
-The Isotopes offense struck out 17 times on the night, tying for the most punchouts by the club this season (also: April 25 at Round Rock).
On Deck: Albuquerque and Oklahoma City meet for game five of the six-game set tomorrow at 5:05 pm at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The Isotopes are scheduled to send Phillips Valdez while the Dodgers are expected to start Mike Montgomery.
