AUSTIN - Sir'Jabari Rice hit a game winning free-throw with 0.5 seconds left in the game to push the Austin Spurs to a 127-126 victory against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in their last game of the Showcase Cup on Sunday afternoon at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.

Dominick Barlow and Blake Wesley recorded a double-double for the Spurs, as Barlow scored 29 points and grabbed 10 boards while Blake Wesley recorded 21 points and 10 rebounds. Charles Bediako added 15 points and 6 rebounds for Austin.

The Spurs took a quick advantage in the first quarter, outscoring Rio Grande Valley by three, 34-31. In the second period, Austin kept the momentum going to stay ahead by eight, 66-58 at the break. Three Spurs scored in double-digits in the first half as Barlow hit 18 points, Bediako tallied 13 points and Wesley finished with 10 points. Cam Whitmore notched 15 first half points for the Vipers. Rio Grande Valley made a comeback in the third quarter to outscore Austin 39-32 to cut the deficit to one point, 98-97 to end the third frame. The final period featured 14 lead changes and three ties with the last tie credited to a Wesley jump shot to even the score 126-126 at the 52 second mark. John Knight III fouled Rice with 2.4 seconds left that allowed Rice to hit one of his two free-throws to seal the win for Austin.

Cam Whitmore led Rio Grande Valley with 24 points. Culver finished with 23 points while Jermaine Samuels Jr. added 18 points for the Vipers.
