The Stars took an early advantage at the halfway mark behind Brice Sensabaugh, who recorded 19 of his 28 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field, including 3-of-6 from behind the arc in that span. Ignite couldn't overcome its deficit early on and even trailed by as much as 13 points in the first half. Ignite came out of the break aggressive and used a 10-3 run to cut its deficit to three points early in the third quarter. The stars held off Ignite's fiery comeback and extended its lead back to 12 points at the end of the frame. Josh Christopher carried the Stars in the period after tallying 12 of his 27 points on 4-of-6 shots from the field. Trailing by seven points with 5:41 remaining in regulation, Ignite used an 8-0 run to take its first lead of the game. The two teams continued their back-and-forth battle as the Stars reclaimed the lead at the 23-second mark. After two offensive rebounds, Norris Cole drained a clutch floater to even the score (112-112) with 2.7 seconds left in the game. After a timeout, Brice Sensabaugh created space to drain the game-winning 16-foot basket to help the Stars seal the game.
