Windy City Bulls Lose Heartbreaker to Motor City Cruise

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, lost to the Motor City Cruise 104-102 Sunday night at NOW Arena. Chicago Bulls Two-Way forward Adama Sanogo, guard Quenton Jackson and guard Chris Clemons each finished with 20 points.

Motor City took a 34-16 lead at the end of the first quarter after Detroit Pistons Two-Way guard Jared Rhoden scored 10 points. Guard Keifer Sykes scored eight points for the Bulls in the second quarter, however, Windy City trailed by 16 points at halftime.

Sykes hit a three-point buzzer-beater to cap off a 31-point third quarter for Windy City, cutting Motor City's lead to eight points. Jackson made a pair of free throws to tie the game with 14.6 seconds left in the game. Motor City responded with a quick jump shot from Rhoden to win by two points.

Motor City was led by Rhoden who finished with 25 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. Detroit Pistons Two-Way guard Stanley Umude chipped in 15 points, three rebounds and two assists.

With the loss, Windy City fell to 8-6 on the season, while Motor City improved to 9-5. Next up, the Bulls head to Orlando for the annual NBA G League Winter Showcase. The in-season tournament will run from Tuesday December 19 - Friday December 22.
