JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Miami Marlins announced a transaction that impacts their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior to tonight's game against the Chattanooga Lookouts at Bragan Field at 7:05 p.m.

Outfielder Alfredo Silverio has been transferred from the Suns to Triple-A New Orleans. Silverio played in 74 games for the Suns, hitting .212 (58-for-274) with three home runs and 36 RBI. Silverio led the team with 69 strikeouts in his first year healthy since he was with the Chattanooga Lookouts in 2011.

This is the first call-up to Triple-A in Silverio's career.

The Suns roster now stands at 24 active players and a revised roster is attached.

Tonight the Suns will send out right-hander Jay Rogers (3-2, 4.76) while the Lookouts will counter with a righty of their own in Matt Shelton (2-1, 3.65)
