Biscuits Continue Success over Braves

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Biscuits (44-43/9-8) won their third-straight game despite being held to two hits in a 3-1 victory over the Mississippi Braves (49-37/10-7) Saturday night at Riverwalk Stadium.

An error from Seth Loman, the first baseman, allowed Cameron Seitzer to reach to lead off the second inning. Greg Ross (2-1) walked Richie Shaffer. Then Loman's second error of the inning, allowed Seitzer to score. A wild pitch allowed Shaffer to touch home. Biscuits scored two runs with no hits, one walk and three wild pitches in the second.

Albert Suarez (1-0) held the Braves to one run through 6 innings with only three hits allowed. Suarez had a stretch of 12-straight retired end in the fifth inning. A sacrifice fly from Mycal Jones drove in the Braves only run of the night.

Santiago Garrdio, Cory Burns and Matt Ramsey (6) combined to throw three scoreless-innings to finish off the Braves. Ramsey picked up his sixth save of the season.

The Biscuits added their third run of the game when Jake Hager and Luke Maile hit consecutive-doubles in the third inning to lead 3-0.

The middle-game of the series is Sunday evening at 5:35. LH Grayson Garvin will throw against RH Williams Perez.
