LAKEWOOD, NJ - Manuel Silva and Ethan Lindow combined on a one-hit shutout as the BlueClaws blanked Delmarva 2-0 in front of a season-best crowd of 8,204 on Wednesday night at FirstEnergy Park.

The BlueClaws (5-9/34-50) took two of three from the first-half champion Shorebirds (10-4/58-25), their first series win against Delmarva this season.

Silva (2-2) gave up one hit with two walks while Lindow gave up no hits and three walks. Lindow earned his first career save in getting the final 12 outs of the game.

The BlueClaws opened the scoring in the fifth inning, playing two runs. Jonathan Guzman singled home Malvin Matos to give Lakewood a 1-0 lead before a two-out single from Luis Garcia plated Guzman.

Delmarva starter Ryan Wilson (3-3) gave up two runs on five hits over six innings of work but took the loss.

Guzman had two hits in the win for the BlueClaws, who threw their sixth shutout of the season.

The BlueClaws head to Greensboro and open a four-game series with the Shorebirds on Thursday night. RHP Rafi Gonell (2-1) starts for the BlueClaws opposite RHP Alex Manasa (7-2).
