Sidorov Puts on Show, Blades Beat Broncos 4-1

STARS SHINED BRIGHT: Goalie Evan Gardner held down the fort in the Saskatoon Blades 4-1 win Saturday at SaskTel Centre against the Swift Current Broncos.

The rookie netminder from Lake Country, BC stopped 26 shots en route to his fourth win of the season, now owning a .924 save-percentage and 2.18 goals-against-average.

NHL drafted forwards Egor Sidorov and Brandon Lisowsky both picked up goals on the evening. Property of the Anaheim Ducks, Sidorov leads the Blades in goals (20) and powerplay goals (9) in 19 games this season, sitting at 29 points. A Toronto Maple Leafs draft pick, Lisowsky has four goals in his last five games, sitting at 25 points (13G, 12A) in 21 games after a three-point performance.

The Blades remain first in the Eastern Conference with a 15-6-0-0 record (30 points), and improve to 8-1-0-0 on home ice.

NEXT GAME: The Blades head out west for their first U.S. road trip since 2019. Fans will be able to see the Blue and Gold in action at SaskTel Centre on Dec. 8th for Pride Night against the Red Deer Rebels.

Next order of business is the Wenatchee Wild Tuesday for a 7:00pm puck drop.
