
Sidewinders defeat Zephyrs

The host New Orleans Zephyrs fell to the Tucson Sidewinders by a score of 5-3 on Friday.
Tucson starting pitcher Bill Murphy (5-4) gets the win after throwing five innings and giving up only two runs on three hits. Reliever Mike Schultz got his third save of the year after giving up one hit in the final two innings.
Zephyrs starting pitcher Nelson Figueroa (2-3) records a loss after giving up five runs on 11 hits in six innings of play.
The Sidewinders were led offensively by left fielder Robby Hammock. Hammock went 1-4 and drove in two runs.
New Orleans shortstop Anthony Medrano went 2-4 and drove in one run for the Zephyrs.
With the series now at 2-1 in favor of the Zephyrs, the teams will face off again on Saturday in a game scheduled for 6:00 PM CT.
