Shuckers LHP Kodi Medeiros Traded to Chicago White Sox

JACKSON, TN - Biloxi Shuckers LHP Kodi Medeiros has been traded to the Chicago White Sox, the Milwaukee Brewers announced on Thursday.

Medeiros, a first-round pick by the Brewers in 2014, was traded to the White Sox on Thursday afternoon along with DSL Brewers RHP Wilber Pérez in exchange for RHP Joakim Soria. After tossing five innings for the Shuckers on Wednesday night, Medeiros finishes his time in Biloxi with a 7-5 record and a 3.14 ERA, the lowest ERA of his career to date. In 103.1 innings, Medeiros walked 45 batters and struck out 107, holding opponents to a .234 batting average against.

Following the trade, the Shuckers roster sits at 24 active players with one player on the disabled list. There is no corresponding roster move for Biloxi at this time.

The Shuckers square off against the Jackson Generals on Thursday night at 6:05 PM CT. RHP Thomas Jankins gets the start for Biloxi at the Ballpark at Jackson. The game can be heard locally on Cruisin' WGCM AM 1240/FM 100.9, TuneIn Radio or the MiLB First Pitch App.
