BILOXI, Miss. - The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (54-60, 25-19) fell to the Biloxi Shuckers (67-47, 26-18) by a 2-0 score in the fifth and final game of the five-game series at MGM Park on Monday night.

Biloxi right-handed starting pitcher Dylan File (8-1) earned the victory, working seven scoreless innings where he allowed three hits, walked a batter, and struck out five. Jacksonville left-handed starting pitcher Trevor Rogers (0-1) took the loss in his Southern League debut. Rogers, the Marlins No. 9 prospect according to MLB Pipeline, pitched four and two-thirds innings where he gave up two runs (both earned) on seven hits with two walks and six strikeouts. Biloxi right-handed relief pitcher Nate Griep worked a perfect ninth to secure his Southern League-leading 18th save of the season.

Biloxi scored the game's first run in the bottom of the second inning on a two-out RBI double by Alexander Alvarez to lead 1-0. Two innings later in the bottom of the fourth, Ryan Aguilar scored from third when File reached on a fielder's choice to put the score at 2-0, which would be the final.

Jacksonville's offense left seven men on base, and the Jumbo Shrimp were 0-for-7 batting as a team with runners in scoring position.

The Jumbo Shrimp will bus home to Jacksonville through the night and have Tuesday off before starting a five-game series with the Mississippi Braves at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday night.
