Shorebirds Game Cancelled on Sunday in Third Inning

Hagerstown, Md. - The Delmarva Shorebirds game against the Hagerstown Suns was cancelled in the bottom of the third inning on Sunday afternoon with the Suns leading 1-0. The game will not be made up.

The Suns took a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Khayyan Norfork singled to right-center field with one out. After a hit batter and a wild pitch, Justin Miller singled to score Norfolk.

Parker Bridwell struck out four batters over 2.2 innings. He allowed two hits.

The Shorebirds offense managed only one hit, a lead off double in the first inning by Greg Lorenzo. Suns starter Blake Schwartz retired nine straight batters.

The Shorebirds return to Arthur W. Perdue Stadium on Tuesday, August 28 for the final three home games of the season. For tickets and information, contact the Shorebirds at 410-219-3112.
