Spokane Shock News Release
May 22, 2007- The Spokane Shock announced today that DB's Rob Keefe and Nygel Rogers have been suspended for one game due to their participation in last week's on-field altercation versus the Boise Burn. For the Burn, Chris Bruhn, Tyler Bruhn, and Dustin Rykert have all been suspended. Chris Bruhn will be suspended for two games, for leaving the bench, while Rykert and Tyler Bruhn will serve a one-game suspension.
These suspensions are effective immediately and will take Keefe and Rogers out of action for this weekend's game against the Central Valley Coyotes.
The altercation happened in the fourth quarter of last week's game in Boise, and led to a five-minute stoppage in play with all five players being ejected from the game.
"It's certainly an unfortunate incident," Head Coach Adam Shackleford said. "I know that both teams are ready to put it behind them and move forward in the midst of the hunt for the Division crown."
