WHEN: 7:00 PM (CST), SATURDAY, 5/26/07

WHERE: CITY BANK COLISEUM, LUBBOCK, TX

VS: LAREDO LOBOS (0-7)

The Lubbock Renegades had a ten-point lead slip away in the final two minutes to drop to 2-5 in a 64-61 loss to the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz last week, and will try to rebound from the heartbreaking loss hosting the winless Laredo Lobos Saturday night. The game will mark the halfway point for both squads on the season. Lubbock is 2-2 at home this season and Laredo is 0-3 on the road. Laredo is the only winless team in the af2 and they will face a Renegades team that has dropped two consecutive games to sit in fourth place of the National Conference's Central Division.

RENEGADES RECAP

Lubbock, TX - Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz quarterback Stan Hill completed a 22-yard pass to Al Hunt as time expired to defeat the Lubbock Renegades 64-61 in front of a crowd of 3,638 Saturday night at City Bank Coliseum. The winning tally capped a 14-point comeback in the final 1:32 to improve the Yard Dawgz record to 4-3 and drop the Renegades record to 2-5.

It was a see-saw battle for most of the night with 16 lead changes for the evening and only three of the combined 22 drives resulted without any points. Lubbock's Robert Kent converted on 20-of-31 pass attempts for 270 yard and seven touchdowns, a season high for the signal caller. Chris Highshaw led the Renegades with seven receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown. Oklahoma City's Stan Hill was 22-of-40 in pass attempts for 342 yards and seven touchdowns. Yard Dawgz's Hunt led his team with eight receptions for 114 yards and two trips to the endzone.

The back-and-forth scoring came to a halt after a defensive stop by the Renegades half-way through the fourth quarter. Lubbock was then able to get their first back-to-back scores of the evening with a three-yard Victor Mann rush for a touchdown. Oklahoma City fought back as Ryan Clift cut the lead to three with a 24 touchdown reception with 1:56 remaining in regulation. A successful on-side kick eventually led to Hunt's game winning touchdown score.

The Renegades (2-5) will remain in the Hub City as they prepare for a Saturday night tilt hosting the Laredo Lobos (0-6) at 7 p.m.

RENEGADES RIVAL RUNDOWN

The Laredo Lobos, also in their inaugural season, enter this week's game as the only winless team in the af2 after falling 48-21 at home last Friday to the Rio Grande Valley Dorados. The Lobos play four of their next five games on the road, with their next two against Central Division foes. They are 0-2 against Central Division teams and 0-3 against teams outside the Southwestern Division.

LAREDO'S LAST GAME RECAP

Rio Grande Valley 48, Laredo 21

Laredo, TX - The outcome of the second meeting between the Laredo Lobos and the Rio Grande Dorados was the same as the first as Rio Grande capitalized on fumbles by the Lobos receivers to come out ahead, 48-21.

In a penalty-ridden game the strong arm of Josh Kellet combined with the skills of his speedy receivers George Williams and Mel Long proved to be too much for a young Lobos secondary. Kellet finished with 278 passing yards and three touchdowns, two going to George Williams, who finished the game with 164 receiving yards on eight catches. Rio Grande improves its record to 6 -1 while the Laredo Lobos drop to 0-7.

Laredo started back up quarterback Jason Johnson who threw for 223 yards while finding the end zone three times hooking up with Shaun Rochon for two and Shawn Terry for one.
