Amarillo Venom News Release
The Amarillo Dusters are pleased to announce that former West Texas A&M Scatback Maurice White has been assigned to the team from the af2 league office.
White (5'8, 195lbs) was a versatile cog in the Buffs' record-setting offense in 2005 and 2006. He carried the ball 245 times for 1,282 rushing yards, and 8 touchdowns. He was a dangerous weapon as a receiver as well, catching 118 passes for 910 yards and 5 touchdowns, earning All-Lone Star Conference Honors following the 2006 season.
"Mo is extremely quick side to side, and he's explosive down the field," said Dusters Head Coach Steve Perdue. "He should be able to help us stretch the field, and we know he'll do good things with the ball in his hands."
The Dusters travel to Rio Grande Valley to take on the Dorados on Saturday night, May 26th. All the action can be heard on 91.1 FM, KWTS radio, or by logging onto the web at www.dustersfootball.com.
