HEAD COACHES: Manchester's Ben Bennett guides the Wolves in his third season as head coach. In 2005, Bennett turned around a 5-11 club and took them to the playoffs following a 12-4 regular season and East Division title. In 2006, Bennett once again guided his Wolves to the second-round of the playoffs, which ended in a one-point 40-39 loss with 47seconds left. Bennett is 49-30 all-time as an af2 coach, including playoffs.
Mahoning Valley Thunder Mike Hold is currently 3-4 this season. This is Hold's first season with the Thunder.

DROPBACK: The Wolves lost their fourth-straight road game, bringing them to 3-4 for the season.
FORWARD MOTION: Manchester hopes to enter Week #9, 4-4, with a win tonight giving them their first win on the road.
MILESTONES:
- Wolves DB Allistair Sebastien currently has 28 interceptions for his career and is slowly approaching first place all-time in af2 history in that category. The New York native is behind Matt Forbes of the Louisville Fire.
TEAM NOTES/TRENDS:
Wolves Dropping In Weekly Poll: The Wolves were ranked 15th in Week #8's coaches' poll but have found themselves unranked, while Mahoning Valley is also unranked.
PLAYERS/MATCHUPS TO WATCH:
Wolves QB Mark Radlinski: The one-year veteran threw for 299 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for another two in his debut for the Wolves. However, the lack of practice did show as Radlinski fumbled two snaps and threw one interception. With a full week of practice now under his belt Radlinski and the Wolves will look to claim their first road victory.
Wolves Three-Headed Receiving Core vs. the Thunder Defense: With the Wolves relying on David Bailey on defense, Manchester's receiving core of: Ari Confesor, Patrick Rouzard and Jarrail Jackson have stepped up big. The Thunder defense has been giving up lots of points lately and the Wolves will look to capitalize on this early, however Mahoning Valley will provide a steady pass rush as they currently have 13 sacks on the season.
Wolves secondary vs. Thunder QB Glenn Gauntt: Thunder starting quarterback and ex-AFL-er Glenn Gauntt is performing well in his first season with the Thudner as he thrown for 1,684 yards and 34 touchdowns, but has thrown 11 interceptions. The Wolves secondary will have to be on their toes as they will rely on Allistair Sebastien (28 career interceptions), David Bailey and newcomers Travis Pugh and Matt Castillo. The Wolves secondary has been stingy as of late and will look to keep the trend by providing heavy pressure up front led by Maurice Fountain (6.0 sacks), James Midboe (1.0 sacks) and Ramal Faunteroy to force Gauntt out of the pocket in an attempt to force some bad throws.
