Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (February 3)- In recognition of all his hard work, the Central Hockey League has named Brahmas forward Scott Sheppard the Sher-wood Player of the Month for January.

In 14 games, Sheppard recorded 25 points (13 goals, 12 assists) and was a +9. Four of Sheppard's goals were game winners, including Saturday night's overtime goal against Tulsa to increase Texas' winning streak to six games, and franchise record eight at home. With the assistance of the Selkirk, ONT native, the Brahmas went 12-1-1 in the month of January.

"Scott had an incredible month which helped push the team to play well. We have 20 games remaining in the regular season, and will look to him to continue his strong play," Brahmas Head Coach Dan Wildfong said.

Sheppard and the Brahmas will have a rematch of last season's Northern Conference Finals as they host the Colorado Eagles Friday night at the NYTEX Sports Centre at 7:05 PM.
