LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League announced at a press conference Tuesday that they have acquired former Team Captain Brent Cullaton from the Rocky Mountain Rage, in exchange for future considerations. The announcement was made to the media and a large number of fans at the Laredo Entertainment Center.

Cullaton was the Bucks Team Captain from 2003 to 2006, where he helped lead them to two President's Cup Championships. Cullaton, who will wear number 22, is expected to be in the line-up Thursday night when the Bucks host Corpus Christi. The Bucks will offer a "Welcome Back Cully" Ticket Special for Thursday's game, offering two tickets, two hot dogs, and two sodas for $22. Fans can go to the Bucks ticket table before the game to claim their food voucher.

"To bring Brent Cullaton back this season is absolutely huge for us", said Bucks President/General Manager and Head Coach Terry Ruskowski. "Brent is a natural scorer, he's a leader, he knows exactly what it's all about here".

In his three seasons in Laredo, Cullaton put up 177 points (66-111=177) in 110 regular season games. Cullaton ranks fifth All-Time in Bucks history in goals and assists. During three playoff runs in Laredo, Cullaton scored 58 points (12-46=58) in 48 postseason contests.

Cullaton, a three-time CHL All-Star, once again led the Rage in scoring this season with 56 points (15-41=56).

"Brent is one of the best playmakers in the CHL today. I know the fans will enjoy seeing him in the Bucks sweater again".

Cullaton, 6'0'', 230 pounds, has recorded 786 points (276-510=786) throughout his 12 years as a pro.

Last season with the Rage, Cullaton notched a career-high 92 points (21-71=92), and was named a finalist for CHL-MVP.

Cullaton led the Bucks in scoring in the 2004 playoffs, putting up 20 points (4-16=20). Cullaton scored points in five of the seven games in the Finals, including handing out two assists in Laredo's game-seven win. Cullaton assisted on Dion Hyman's overtime game-winning goal to clinch the Bucks first Championship.

In the 2006 Playoffs, Cullaton scored at least a point in 15 of the Bucks 16 games, to help lead them to their second President's Cup Title.

Brent's dad, Art Cullaton, is the Ice Technician at the LEC.
