
Shepard and Zazula Join Blazers

Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers have added 15-year-old forward Jackson Shepard and 15-year-old defenseman Luke Zazula to the active roster.
Shepard played this season with the Vancouver NW Giants in the B.C. Major Midget League. He had 13 goals and 42 points in 37 games this season. In six playoff games, the 5'8" and 165lb native of West Vancouver had three assists. Shepard's Giants lost in the semi-finals of the BCMML playoffs to the Cariboo Cougars this past weekend.
Zazula played this season with the Delta Hockey Academy Midget Prep team. He had 26 points in 29 regular season games. The 5'8" defenseman helped his team win the Canadian Sport School Hockey League Championship this past weekend in Penticton.
With the move, the Blazers roster is now at 26 players including three goaltenders, eight defensemen and 15 forwards.
